This group collects Real Estate sector members that develop, build, manage, broker or provide services related to real estate without being organized as a real estate investment trust that owns an income-producing property portfolio: property developers across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, homebuilders, real estate services and brokerage firms, property management companies, real estate information and analytics providers, diversified conglomerates whose real estate holdings are not organized as a REIT, and a handful of not-for-profit housing cooperatives, an industry lobbying association and a marina investment company placed here as the closest fit among these nine groups rather than left ungrouped, each named in this lane's own landing rather than left silent. It is the largest group in this subcategory, reflecting how many of the world's largest property companies, especially outside North America, are organized as developers or operating companies rather than REITs.
