Pacific Railroads

This child group collects United States Railroads members headquartered or historically based in the Pacific Census division (Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska and Hawaii). It includes Metrolink of California, the Southern Pacific Railroad and its later corporate form the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, both founded and long headquartered in San Francisco; Pacific Electric, the Sacramento Northern Railway, the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley Railroad and the Southern California Railway; the Yreka Western Railroad; and the Copper River and Northwestern Railway, an Alaskan line placed here as the nearest Pacific division grouping. At 33 members it sits well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
