Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway

The Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway was a railroad company in the northwestern United States, incorporated in 1905 as a joint venture by the Great Northern Railway and the Northern Pacific Railway to build a line along the north bank of the Columbia River, later building or acquiring additional routes in Oregon. The company was merged into the Burlington Northern in March 1970, and remnants of its lines are today operated by BNSF Railway and the Portland and Western Railroad.
