This child group collects United States Railroads members headquartered or historically based in the New England Census division (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut). It includes the New England Central Railroad, the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad of Maine, the Providence and Worcester Railroad, the St. Johnsbury and Lamoille County Railroad of Vermont, the Eastern Railroad and the Grand Junction Railroad of Massachusetts, and a number of further Connecticut and New Hampshire short lines. At 22 members it sits well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
