Pioneer Valley Railroad

The Pioneer Valley Railroad is a Class III short-line freight railroad established in 1982 and headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts, operating former Conrail trackage across Westfield, Holyoke and Southampton in western Massachusetts. Owned by the Pinsly Railroad Company since its founding, the railroad runs the Holyoke Branch and the Southampton Branch out of its Westfield Main Yard hauling lumber, steel and waste, and in August 2023 Macquarie Infrastructure Partners agreed to acquire it through its subsidiary Gulf & Atlantic Railways.
