Asset Management and Custody Banks

This group collects Financials members whose core business is managing or safeguarding other people's money rather than lending it out or underwriting risk: asset and investment management companies, mutual fund managers, custody banks, wealth managers, private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds, and diversified investment holding companies whose own description names no single operating business of their own. It is kept apart from Investment Banking and Brokerage, reserved for a company that arranges financing and trades securities on behalf of clients rather than managing assets directly.
