Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. is a Canadian-American asset management firm that operates as the United States based subsidiary of the Canadian based asset manager Brookfield Corporation. It was established on December 12, 2022, as a corporate spin-off separating the asset management operations from its parent company. Its headquarters moved from Toronto to New York City in December 2024, and it now operates from 225 Liberty Street in Manhattan. The firm manages investments across real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, private equity, and credit markets globally, overseeing more than 1 trillion US dollars in managed assets as of 2025. Brookfield Corporation retains a 73 percent ownership stake, with the remaining 27 percent held publicly.
