People whose cited article calls them an industrialist, business magnate, tycoon or oligarch, the owners and builders of large industrial and commercial empires in steel, oil, shipping, conglomerates, mining and manufacturing. A person belongs here when the article uses one of these words for them. It excludes people the article describes mainly as a founder, an executive, an inventor or an investor. Many of these figures also gave away large parts of their fortunes, and the article for each person says which industry their empire was built on.
