Founders, chief executives and other senior operating leaders of the companies this atlas carries, individuals whose primary significance is building or running a specific enterprise rather than developing a general theory of management, including company founders such as Henry Ford and Andrew Carnegie and chief executives who led an existing company through a defining era. Belongs here: any figure whose primary claim to inclusion is founding, owning or running a named company. Does not belong here: figures whose primary contribution is a general management or organizational theory taught and applied across companies rather than the running of one company in particular, grouped under Management Theorist.
