Multi-Utilities

This group collects Utilities sector members that combine two or more regulated utility businesses, most often electricity and natural gas distribution together and sometimes water as well, under one holding company, along with several full multiutility groups that also handle waste management and broader energy services: the large diversified American, European and Asia-Pacific utility holding companies whose regulated subsidiaries span more than one utility type, and several vertically integrated energy retailers that sell electricity, gas and other household utility products together. This group is kept apart from Electric Utilities, Gas Utilities and Water Utilities, each reserved for a company whose regulated business is dominated by a single utility type rather than a genuine combination.
