This child group collects European Railroads members headquartered or based in Switzerland, the largest of this atlas's country splits within the European Railroads group, spanning the modern national and regional operators (Swiss Federal Railways, BLS AG, Sudostbahn, Zentralbahn), the dense network of historic cantonal and metre gauge companies across French-, German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland (the Chemins de fer fribourgeois Gruyere-Fribourg-Morat, the Bernese Jura Railway, the Chemins de fer du Jura, the Rigi Railways rack lines), and the many small Vaud, Fribourg and Ticino area companies that were absorbed into today's larger operators over the twentieth century. At 32 members it is well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
