Pont-Brassus Railway

The Pont-Brassus Railway was a Swiss railway company in the canton of Vaud that operated a standard gauge line connecting Le Pont to Le Brassus along the northern shore of Lac de Joux, with traffic beginning on August 21, 1899. The company owned no locomotives of its own, so the Swiss Federal Railways operated the line from its opening, and the route was electrified in 1938. After more than a century as an independent company, the Pont-Brassus Railway was absorbed into the regional operator Travys on January 1, 2001.
