Organizational Behavior

Organizational behavior, also spelled organisational behaviour, is the study of human behavior in organizational settings, the interface between human behavior and the organization, and the organization itself. Research is usually sorted into three levels: individuals in organizations at the micro level, work groups at the meso level, and how organizations behave at the macro level. Chester Barnard recognized that individuals behave differently when acting in their organizational roles than when acting independently of the organization, and researchers primarily study how individuals behave within those roles. One of the main goals of the field is to revitalize organizational theory and develop a better conceptual understanding of organizational life, and management theories about motivation and work design are grouped under this discipline.

Entity-backed identity for the topic enum value this management theory already carries, resolved to a business practice discipline by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The topic fact itself stays on the theory unchanged.
