The four named professional practice areas this atlas tracks as their own fields rather than as company- or theory-level subjects: accounting, marketing practice, finance practice and entrepreneurship. A discipline belongs here when its subject is the practice area itself, its methods and professional norms, independent of any one company, theorist or event. This is a closed list and stays a flat four entities rather than a subcategory tree; well under the atlas's eight-member grouping minimum, it is not a gap to fill further. Excludes: a named theory the discipline draws on, catalogued under Management Theories under its own name and cross-linked to the discipline it belongs to; and the corporate-level or economics-level account of finance and accounting practice, which Law and Economics catalogue at the regulatory and macro level respectively, cross-linked by a same-as edge where a real seam exists.
