PepsiCo is an American multinational food and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York, formed in 1965 through the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay, Inc. It has since expanded from its namesake cola into a diversified portfolio of food and beverage brands through acquisitions including Tropicana in 1998 and the Quaker Oats Company, which brought Gatorade into the portfolio, in 2001, and ranks among the largest food and beverage businesses in the world by revenue.
