The Haffenreffer Brewery was a beer producer in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, founded in 1870 by German immigrant Rudolph Frederick Haffenreffer, who arrived in Boston after the Civil War. At its peak the fourteen building complex included a tower, main brewery, storage facilities and a bottling plant, and it operated for nearly a century before closing by 1965; the main brewery building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982, and the redeveloped complex now houses the Boston Beer Company, restaurants and community organizations.
