United States Brewers

This child group collects Brewers members headquartered in the United States, the largest national group in this atlas's Brewers subcategory by a wide margin, spanning the surviving pre-Prohibition regional brewers (Yuengling), the large national brewers descended from nineteenth century German immigrant breweries (Anheuser-Busch, Miller, Coors and their modern successor companies), the modern craft beer movement's pioneering and flagship breweries across dozens of states (Boston Beer Company, Anchor Brewing Company), and a very large number of smaller present day craft breweries, cideries and brewpubs. At 257 members this child group itself remains well over this atlas's oversized-group threshold and is expected to need its own further split by region or era in a follow-on pass.
