The Gunther Brewing Company was a brewery founded in 1900 by George Gunther Jr. in the Canton neighborhood of southeast Baltimore, Maryland, building on the earlier brewing work of his father George Gunther Sr. By 1959 it was the second-largest brewery in Baltimore, employing more than 600 people with an annual production capacity of 800,000 barrels. Minnesota's Hamm's Brewing Company acquired it in 1960, F. and M. Schaefer Brewing Company bought it in 1963, and production ceased in 1978; the property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and later redeveloped as a mixed-use building called The Gunther.
