Allied Breweries was a British brewing company that operated from 1961 to 1992, formed through the merger of Ind Coope of Burton, Ansells of Birmingham and Tetley Walker of Leeds. It expanded in 1968 by acquiring Showerings and its associated beverage brands, and in 1978 combined with the food and catering business J. Lyons and Co to form Allied Lyons. Its brewing operations ended in 1992 when they merged with Carlsberg to become Carlsberg-Tetley, which is today part of the Carlsberg Group as Carlsberg UK.
