This child group collects English Brewers members headquartered or based in Yorkshire and the Humber. It includes two of Yorkshire's oldest independent breweries, both based in Tadcaster (Samuel Smith Old Brewery, founded 1758, and John Smith's Brewery), Black Sheep Brewery and Theakston Brewery, both of Masham, Wards Brewing Company of Sheffield, York Brewery, and Allied Breweries, formed in 1961 from the merger of three regional brewers including Tetley Walker of Leeds. At 11 members it sits well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
