Sir William Thompson Wright (18 September 1927 to 24 July 2022) was a Northern Irish business owner and Unionist politician. He was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, where he also grew up, and first came to prominence in the late 1950s when he joined his father's vehicle body building business, Robert Wright and Son. Outside politics he took over the family business, moving it into the construction of buses, a process which saw it become the Wright Group, with Wrightbus as its best-known subsidiary. He served on Ballymena Borough Council, was appointed OBE in 2001 and CBE in 2011 for services to the bus industry, and was knighted in the 2018 New Year Honours.
