Vinod Khosla, born on 28 January 1955, is an Indian-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems and the founder of Khosla Ventures, and he is the owner of the Seattle Seahawks. He made his wealth from early venture capital investments in areas including networking, software and alternative energy technologies, and has been described as one of the most successful and influential venture capitalists. He was an early signatory of the Giving Pledge, and in 2024 he was named to the Time 100 list of the most influential people in artificial intelligence.
