Luiza Trajano is a Brazilian businesswoman who has led Magazine Luiza, the retail chain founded by her aunt and uncle in 1957, since taking over as chief executive in 1991 and later becoming chairwoman. Under her leadership the company, commonly known as Magalu, grew from a regional chain of physical stores in the interior of Sao Paulo state into one of Brazil's largest retailers and a major e-commerce platform, an expansion widely credited to her early and sustained investment in digital sales channels and logistics. She has also been a prominent public advocate for women in Brazilian business leadership, co-founding the Grupo Mulheres do Brasil network, and is regularly named among the most influential businesswomen in Latin America.
