Camille Dreyfus

Camille Dreyfus (11 November 1878 to 27 September 1956) was a Swiss chemist who, together with his brother Henri Dreyfus, invented the acetate yarn Celanese and developed related cellulose acetate products including synthetic indigo dyes, plastic film and aircraft lacquers. Camille managed the brothers' American operations and built the Celanese brand for fibers and fabrics, and he later founded the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation in his brother's memory.
