Adam Osborne

Adam Osborne (6 March 1939 to 18 March 2003) was a British author, software publisher and computer designer, born in Bangkok, Thailand, who founded several companies in the United States and elsewhere. He introduced the Osborne 1, the first commercially successful portable computer, which was produced by the company he founded, the Osborne Computer Corporation. His work as an author and software publisher preceded his move into building computers, and the Osborne 1 is the product for which he is best remembered in the history of personal computing.
