A two-wheeler is a vehicle that runs on two wheels. The wheels may sit one behind the other, as on single-track vehicles, or side by side on one axle, as on a dicycle. Single-track examples include the early dandy horse or draisine, the bicycle, the motorcycle and the self-balancing gyrocar, while dicycles include self-balancing scooters often sold as hoverboards and the Segway personal transporter. Some two-wheelers need extra support that may or may not supply the power, for instance horse-drawn carts, hand trucks, shopping trolleys, many semi-trailers and two-wheel tractors. The term names a broad class of vehicles rather than a single make or model, and it spans both personal transport and load-carrying equipment.
