A baby sling is a cloth device, usually adjustable in length, used to carry a baby securely against the wearer's body, a practice known as babywearing that has been used for thousands of years. It supports and comforts the baby while leaving the parent or caregiver's hands free for everyday tasks. Baby slings come in several forms, including simple wraps, ring slings, structured carriers and mei tais, all built around a length of soft fabric wrapped around the wearer's chest.
