Hermann Maria Hauser, born in 1948, is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and inventor primarily associated with the Cambridge technology community in England. He earned a master's degree in physics in Vienna and a doctorate at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, and he is best known for setting up Acorn Computers with Chris Curry in 1978. After Olivetti took control of Acorn in 1985 he became its vice-president for research, co-founded the Olivetti Research Laboratory with Andy Hopper in 1986, and in 1990 was involved in spinning out Advanced RISC Machines from Acorn.
