UPM-Kymmene Oyj

UPM-Kymmene Oyj, commonly known as UPM, is a Finnish forest industry company headquartered in Helsinki, formed in 1996 through the merger of Kymmene Corporation with Repola Oy and its subsidiary United Paper Mills Ltd. It manufactures fibre products, wood products, molecular bioproducts, specialty and communication papers, plywood and low emission energy across six business divisions, operating production plants in eleven countries with about 17,200 employees. UPM says it is the only paper company listed in the global Dow Jones Sustainability Index and participates in the United Nations Global Compact.
