Irish Railroads

This child group collects Railroads of the United Kingdom and Ireland members based in Ireland, both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland together, matching the parent group's own combined United Kingdom and Ireland scope. It spans the island's first passenger railway (the Dublin and Kingstown Railway, opened in 1834), the modern national operators of both jurisdictions (Iarnrod Eireann, the Republic's state railway; NI Railways, serving Northern Ireland), the historic narrow and Irish gauge companies of County Cork (the Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway; the Cork and Muskerry Light Railway; the Cork and Macroom Direct Railway), and companies serving Ulster and the northern counties (the Belfast and County Down Railway, the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway, the Northern Counties Committee, the Clogher Valley Railway). At 11 members it sits well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
