The Alcester Railway Company was incorporated under the Alcester Railway Act of 1872 to build a branch line connecting the manufacturing town of Alcester to the Great Western Railway network in Warwickshire, England, opening for service on September 4, 1876. The line closed during the First World War in 1917, reopened in stages during the early 1920s, lost its passenger service again in 1939, and closed permanently on March 1, 1951.
