Orlen Rail

Orlen Rail, known in Polish as Orlen Kolej and formerly named Lotos Kolej, is a freight rail transport company headquartered in Gdansk, Poland. It was established on April 20, 2002 as part of the Gdansk Refinery and became a separate organization on January 1, 2003, primarily to move petroleum products and related materials by rail. The company expanded to serve refineries acquired in 2004 across Poland and began international transport into Germany in 2007. It has been owned by Orlen since September 1, 2022, having previously belonged to Grupa Lotos and the Gdansk Refinery, and employed about 1,700 people as of 2024.
