Captrain France

Captrain France, formerly VFLI, is a French freight rail company founded in 1998 and headquartered in Paris, operating as a subsidiary of SNCF's Rail Logistics Europe division; it was rebranded from VFLI to its current name in January 2021. The company functions as a low-cost short line and industrial railway operator, spanning by 2012 four areas of business: mainline freight in France, industrial site rail operations, rail infrastructure train haulage, and short haul services including port railways, and by 2008 served roughly forty industrial sites with clients including Renault, PSA and Lafarge. In 2010 it owned about 100 diesel locomotives and around 800 wagons, and it operates its own rolling stock workshops for maintenance and refurbishment.
