The Nederlandsche Centraal-Spoorweg-Maatschappij, or NCS, was a Dutch railway company founded in Amsterdam on 20 February 1860 and headquartered in Utrecht, which built and operated the Central Railway connecting Utrecht, Amersfoort, Zwolle and Kampen, opening its main line in sections between 1863 and 1865 and adding branch lines and steam and electric tramway services between 1898 and 1903. The Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg-Maatschappij acquired a majority stake in 1885, and after the Dutch State Railways took over its operations in 1919, the company was formally dissolved and merged into the Nederlandse Spoorwegen in 1934.
