It has grown through numerous acquisitions, including Morgan Grenfell in 1990, Bankers Trust in 1998 and Deutsche Postbank in 2010, and today operates across dozens of countries with a large presence in Europe, the Americas and Asia; it has been designated a global systemically important bank by the Financial Stability Board since 2011.
