Boston Beer Company

The Boston Beer Company is an American brewing and beverage company founded in 1984 by Jim Koch, a sixth-generation brewer, and Rhonda Kallman, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a public corporation trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SAM, with Koch retaining full ownership of the company's Class B common stock, and by 2019 it ranked as the fourth-largest brewer in the United States with revenue of 1.329 billion dollars. Its flagship brand, Samuel Adams, won Best Beer in America at the Great American Beer Festival six weeks after its 1985 launch, and the company's portfolio has grown to include Twisted Tea, Angry Orchard and Truly Hard Seltzer, along with Dogfish Head Brewery, acquired in 2019 for 300 million dollars.
