Brooklyn Brewery is a brewery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York, started in 1988 by Steve Hindy and Tom Potter and operating since 1996 from a facility converted from a former matzo factory. Its flagship beer is Brooklyn Lager, a Vienna lager, alongside offerings such as East India Pale Ale and Brooklyn Brown Ale, with annual production reaching 217,000 barrels by 2013; Garrett Oliver has served as brewmaster since 1994, and Japan's Kirin Holdings acquired a 24.5 percent stake in the company in 2016.
