Zötler, also known as Privat-Brauerei Zötler, is a traditional brewery in Rettenberg, in the Allgäu region of Germany, producing about 45,000 hectoliters of beer annually. Its history traces back to a brewery founded in 1447 at the foot of the Grünten. On 10 August 2009 the brewery took over the brand rights and customers of the Postbrauerei Karl Meyer Nesselwang under a purchase contract effective 1 December 2009. Zötler produces a range of beers and other drinks, including 1447 Naturtrüb, Zötler Gold, Privat-Pils and several Hefeweizen styles, as well as soft drinks under its Libella brand, and is a member of Die Freien Brauer, an association of independent private breweries in Europe founded in 2006.
