Vulcan Materials Company is an American producer of construction aggregates headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, founded in 1909. It is the largest producer of crushed stone, sand and gravel in the United States, supplying the raw materials used in concrete, asphalt and road construction, with operations concentrated across the southern, southwestern and mid-Atlantic United States.
