Tim Hortons is a Canadian multinational coffeehouse and fast food chain founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964 by hockey player Tim Horton together with Jim Charade, serving coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches and breakfast items. It is Canada's largest quick service restaurant chain, with more than 6,000 restaurants across more than a dozen countries including the United States, China, India, the United Kingdom and Spain. Tim Hortons merged with Burger King in December 2014 to form Restaurant Brands International, which remains its parent company, headquartered together with Tim Hortons in Toronto.
