SPAD, short for Societe Pour L'Aviation et ses Derives, was a French aircraft manufacturer active between 1911 and 1921. Its SPAD S.XIII biplane was the most produced French fighter aeroplane of the First World War. The infobox of the Deperdussin Monocoque lists the Societe Pour les Appareils Deperdussin (SPAD) as its manufacturer, so this record is the maker target for that early monoplane as well as for the later fighter. It covers the aircraft company, not any later use of the name.
