Sompo Holdings is a Japanese insurance holding company headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, formed in 2010 and generally counted among the three dominant insurance groups in Japan alongside Tokio Marine and MS&AD. It operates through domestic non-life insurance, overseas insurance, domestic life insurance, and nursing-care and seniors business segments, offering property and casualty coverage, life insurance, risk management and assistance services, and at-home and residential care for the elderly. Sompo maintains operations in more than 30 countries and regions across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
