SPAR International B.V. is a Dutch multinational company, founded in the Netherlands in 1932 by Adriaan van Well, that provides branding, supplies and support services to independently owned and operated food retail stores. Rather than directly operating most of its outlets, SPAR licenses its brand and systems to independent retailers, who run stores under the SPAR banner across formats including convenience shops, supermarkets and hypermarkets.
