Qualcomm Incorporated is an American multinational semiconductor and telecommunications company headquartered in San Diego, California, founded in 1985 by Irwin Jacobs and six co-founders. It built its early business on code-division multiple access (CDMA) wireless technology and patent licensing, and is now a leading maker of mobile system-on-chip processors under its Snapdragon brand, used widely in smartphones and other connected devices.
