Public Storage is an American real estate investment trust headquartered in Glendale, California, founded in 1972 by B. Wayne Hughes and Kenneth Volk Jr. as one of the pioneers of the modern self-storage industry in the United States. It grew into the largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in the United States, with thousands of storage facilities across the country.
