The Pere Marquette Railway was a railroad company that operated in the Great Lakes region of the United States and southern Ontario, Canada, with trackage in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Ontario and primary connections to Buffalo, Toledo and Chicago. The company was named after Jacques Marquette, the French Jesuit missionary who founded Michigan's first European settlement at Sault Ste. Marie.
