The Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway was an American railroad company and a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, operating primarily across the Texas Panhandle with lines extending into New Mexico and Oklahoma. It was originally chartered on November 2, 1886 as the Southern Kansas Railway Company of Texas and was renamed the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway in June 1914. The company was merged into its parent, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, on August 1, 1965, after roughly 79 years of operation.
