Moomin World is a theme park based on the Moomin books by Finnish author Tove Jansson, designed by Dennis Livson and located on the island of Kailo beside the old town of Naantali in southwest Finland. It opened on June 26, 1993 and is run by Moomin World Oy. Its centrepiece is the blueberry-coloured, five-storey Moomin House built to match Jansson's original drawings, alongside other sets such as Hemulen's house, Moominmamma's kitchen, a fire station, Snufkin's camp, and Moominpappa's boat. Unlike a conventional amusement park it has no rides, instead offering themed paths such as Toffle's Path with the Witch's Labyrinth, character meet-and-greets, and performances at the outdoor Moomin theatre Emma, operating seasonally from mid-June to mid-August.
