Mafell

Mafell AG, short for Maschinenfabrik Fellbach Aktiengesellschaft, is a German manufacturer of high-end woodworking power tools for carpentry, founded in 1899 and based in the Oberndorf-Lindenhof area of Oberndorf am Neckar. The company invented the first portable electric carpentry power tool, a chain mortiser, in 1926, and with about 280 employees it makes premium carpentry equipment rather than mass-market tools. Mafell has won recognition for innovation, including the Rudolf-Eberle-Award in 2002 for its panel saw system and the Eumacop innovation award in 2003, and it has been named among the world's 100 most innovative companies in multiple years.
