LVMH is a French multinational holding company and luxury goods conglomerate headquartered in Paris, formed in 1987 through the merger of the fashion house Louis Vuitton, founded in 1854, with Moet Hennessy, itself the 1971 product of a merger between the champagne producer Moet et Chandon and the cognac producer Hennessy. The company controls around sixty subsidiaries managing roughly seventy five luxury brands across fashion, wines and spirits, perfumes and cosmetics, watches and jewelry, and retail, including Christian Dior, Fendi, Tiffany and Co. and Bulgari.
